Appreciate what you have

Imagine if this world could be assumed be a community of just 100 people (100 people map to the current population of the entire world). How would it look like?
- what would be the population of Asians in these 100 people?
- How many would be male/female?
- How many would be called as rich?
- How many would be termed as technology savvy?
- How many would be suffering from disease?

Find out all these answers from this awsome video created by a non-profit organization as a part of the project called 'State of the Village Report' and published to the internet through a video capturing the statistics through the Miniature Earth Report. The video can be seen here

This video was created with the data captured in year 2001, and its bound to have lost some relevance in these changing times, and hence to capture the most recent data this video will be soon upgraded, as its blog says. So, stay tuned to the Miniature Earth website and in the mean time, please keep doing something for the betterment of this global village.

Use Plastic Responsibly

(Picture courtesy : Sodexo, who are the caterers of our organization)

This picture depicts the plight of earth by the (mis)use of Plastic. I can very well imagine that life is simple not possible today without the use of plastic, but at the same time I am very much convinced that life will be better for our generations to come if we use plastic responsibly.

Any one who is reading this page is very well aware of the ill effects created by plastic, and hence I do not wish to give a lecture on the same, it would be a sure repetition of the same.

Only thing I would like to remind you all is the way in which we all can use plastic responsibly....or else let our coming generations choke in the pollution caused by it.
